I’m very happy to share a personal highlight with you: In spring 2025, I successfully completed my education as a BDR C Road Cycling Coach as well as the BDR Basis Coach (Cyclists’ Federation).

This qualification marks an important step in taking my long-standing commitment to cycling to a new, professional level – both in terms of athletic development and in the organization and support of projects and events.

Why this training?

I have been active in cycling for over 20 years – as a rider, organizer, guide, brand ambassador, marketing expert, and coach. With this coaching license, I wanted to combine my practical experience with solid theoretical knowledge.

For my role at Q36.5 Racing Expedition e.V.

This qualification is particularly valuable for my role at Q36.5 Racing Expedition e.V.
As the person responsible for our amateur team, community building, and event organization, my goal is to support ambitious riders on an individual level, ensure safe group riding, and foster a sustainable training culture.

As advisor to Bayern Rundfahrt / Munich Bike Stars

The certification is also beneficial for my volunteer role as an advisor to the Bayern Rundfahrt, which is currently being repositioned as Munich Bike Stars.
As a bridge between clubs, partners, athletes, and event organizers, I contribute not only my network but also solid expertise in the implementation of modern cycling formats.

What I learned

The BDR Basis Coach course lays the foundation for methodical, age-appropriate training. The C License for Road Cycling builds on this with sport-specific content – focusing on technique, tactics, and load management in road cycling.

The most important topics included:

• Training science & periodization
• Technical training & riding technique
• Planning training for youth and adults
• Safety concepts in road cycling
• Group leadership & communication
• Athlete development in club environments

A special highlight was the intensive exchange with instructors and coaches from all over Germany – hands-on, reflective, and inspired by true cycling passion.

I’m excited to pass on this knowledge – with expertise, passion, and the clear goal of strengthening cycling on all levels.
